Adams Animals

November 14, 2008

Dear Friends,

The tag on each Adams Animal  reads, “May this stuffed friend bring you a giggle and a smile”.  Today that is just what happened!  Thanks to your generosity, we delivered 4,276 wonderful new stuffed animals to area hospitals and children’s hospice organizations.  Children’s eyes lit up as they reached for a cuddly teddy bear, doggie or maybe a frog!  Parents, as parents do everywhere, quietly said, “What do you say?”, and sweet little voices said, “Thank you” to each of you for all you do to make this day possible.

Thank you to each of you who donated special animals, money with which to buy animals, and your time to tie tags on so many wonderful furry friends.  Thank you to companies and organizations who donated, and allowed and encouraged their employees and members to collect animals to allow us to reach so many children.  Thank you to schools, churches and youth organizations who selflessly donated to help comfort a sick child.

Thank you to Party City for helping to provide the balloons tied to animals.  Thank you to Rodeo Ford and Huffines Chevrolet for providing the vehicles used to deliver the animals. Without all of you this day could never happen.

As we left the hospitals today, hugged by nurses, doctors and staff who will use the animals throughout the year, once again, we knew that we had made a small difference.  All of you have done something wonderful in Adam’s memory, and for that, we thank you.

God Bless
