Tucker
Sometimes in dark situations, you find a bright light in the most unexpected places. This morning I was really struggling. It’s hard to keep a 16-month-old in a bed all day and away from the hospital germs on the floor, because all Tucker wants to do is get up and go. But a few moments ago, the Child Life specialist came into the room and announced that we had a special visitor (I was thinking WHO IS HERE??). She introduced Adam's Animals and in walked a man (Adam’s dad) with a giant puppy and balloon. Tucker’s face immediately lit up and he sat up in bed and grabbed the puppy. He went straight for his nose and gave him a kiss. It was the best!! After they left, I read up on the organization. All the animals are brought to kids in the hospital in memory of their son, Adam, who passed away from Leukemia in 1999. This year they brought over 6,000 NEW stuffed animals!! Wow! What a small gesture that means SO much to these kids and their parents. If you are looking for a good place to donate, please consider this organization. Thank you, Hurst family, for sharing Adam’s beautiful legacy and passing on his joy to others in the hospital. 2019

I just wanted to reach out and say thank you. My son was in the ER at Medical City about a week ago. He's terrified of hospitals as they are not new to him. The paramedic doing vitals on my son offered him a Snow White dwarf to hold. He never let it go and it helped him to be less afraid. So thank you again for what you do. It makes a difference. Sincerely, S
